Discover the Marine-i Graduate Placement Scheme

 

PARAMETERS

  • Marine-I can work with marine companies who would like to create a new employment opportunity for graduate level employment with a salary on offer of 18k or over.
  • To enable the subsidy, the employee taken on must have a degree level qualification. This can apply to new graduates, but Marine-i can also support senior roles. (The subsidy can be applied to any new employee who has a graduate level qualification, even if that was achieved many years ago.)
  • To qualify for the Marine-i programme, the company / its work must be based within the marine sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
  • There must be an element of RD&I within the role.

PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR THE COMPANY

  • Support extends to helping with recruitment. Marine-i can help with drafting Job Descriptions and with advertising, if required.
  • Marine-i can help with shortlisting and interviews; set up, co-ordination with candidates and legal compliance, as well as handling post-interview rejections on behalf of the company if they would like help with this.
  • Marine-i will help the company with the required paperwork to make the process as smooth as possible.

LENGTH OF SUPPORT / PLACEMENT

  • We can offer a 6 month or 9 month placement and support.

SUBSIDY AMOUNT

  • The subsidy on offer is £1500 for a 6 month support and £2250 for a nine month supported role. 

OUTLINE OF SUPPORT FOR THE NEW EMPLOYEE

  • The support package offers the employee up to £810 in mentoring from our pre-procured mentors in a diverse range of areas from personal and professional development, through to finance, project management and marketing.
  • Regular meetings with Unlocking Potential Business Development Manager from Marine-i team to track progress in their role and support achievement.
