We will only use this information for the purposes of you using the site and the business engagement process. We may share your information with the Programme Delivery Partners, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), who partly fund the Marine-I programme, and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Hub and other similar Service providers acting as processors based in the UK who provide business/commercial support activities as this reduces the need to repeat your information.

We will retain your details until 31 December 2033 as this is a requirement under the contract we have with our Funders University of Exeter (and ultimately MHCLG). All personal information held by the Marine-i Programme is held safely in a secure environment.

Find out if your marine business is eligible for support, so that you can access the leading-edge expertise and resources that are available through Marine-i. It is our goal to offer support to at least 100 businesses over the life of the project.

Support and funding through Marine-i is broadly available to small and medium sized marine businesses based in Cornwall and businesses based elsewhere who may wish to establish a base in Cornwall in order to develop marine technology.

European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) rules mean that support cannot be extended to businesses that are not classified as ‘small and medium sized enterprises’ (SMEs.)

This is defined by ERDF as:

  • having fewer than 250 employees
  • or with turnover annual turnover not exceeding €50m
  • and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding €43m.

There are a few other subtleties which we will discuss with you on an individual basis as required.

However, we will do our best to help any business with an interest in the marine sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
