Marine-i: Floating Offshore Wind Collaborative Projects - Cost effective logistics solutions vessels, equipment and port infrastructure
24th September 2020 @ 09:30-11:30
Closing Date for Responses 4th September
Workshop Date 24th September
Following on from a series of workshops held on the 6th July 2020, Marine-i is now actively seeking engagement with businesses interested in working collaboratively with both research organisations and other businesses on developing Vessel, Equipment, Port Infrastructure and other logistics solutions with the potential to help industrialise Floating Offshore Wind. This is the first of a series of Expression of Interest calls which are planned over the coming months.
Businesses operating in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly involved in projects arising from this process may be eligible for direct RD&I support (including financial) subject to meeting certain criteria.
Marine-i wants to see collaborative projects which draw on the strength of local businesses and start to develop technology proposals for vessel design, operations design, port interface requirements, subsea/ offshore tooling etc with the long term potential to become globally significant.
Businesses submitting Expressions of Interest will be invited to a collaborative workshop on the 24th September 2020 which aims to address the challenge and develop a range of potential solutions. The most appropriate of these will form the basis of Marine-i supported RD&I projects.
Only businesses registered in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly will be eligible for Marine-i funding. However, collaborations involving businesses outside of Cornwall are encouraged.
